Erin began her career in college admissions, working at Bowdoin College, Columbia University, and the University of Vermont, where she also served as the athletics liaison. These early roles provided her with deep insight into the institutional side of the admissions process, from application review to committee decision-making.
She later transitioned to independent school counseling, serving as a College Counselor at Groton School and Northfield Mount Hermon School. Most recently, she was the Director of College Counseling at Berkshire School where she led the college counseling program and worked closely with students and families through all stages of the admissions process.
Across more than twenty years in the field, she has guided nearly one thousand students and families and brings a comprehensive understanding of college admissions. Her perspective is shaped by experience on both sides of the process—reading applications, advocating for students, advising families, and understanding institutional priorities.
She is a long-standing member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), and has attended and presented at professional conferences throughout her career. She actively engages with colleagues on emerging trends in college counseling and has been featured on Dartmouth College Admissions’ The Search Podcast.
She earned her B.A. from Bowdoin College and her M.A. in Education Administration from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
