After a distinguished career in book publishing that spanned over two decades, Debbie left the industry to write The Perfect Score Project: One Mom’s Journey to Uncover the Secrets of the SAT. While she initially planned to continue her focus on writing, the book sparked an unexpected career twist, launching a passionate second career as a tutor. What began with SAT preparation expanded to include the ACT, AP Exams, SSAT, and ISEE.
Debbie approaches standardized test prep like a puzzle, teaching students how to navigate academic challenges and achieve their goals by breaking down the process into manageable steps. She guides students through the steps of mastering the material on the test, teaching them how to analyze their errors and emphasizing the importance of targeted, consistent practice.
While most students achieve their test-score goals, the happy byproduct is often that they learn to take ownership of their education and to love learning.
